"Like a hole in the head."
- Cobra Commander (replying to Dr. Mindbender's statement that Cobra needs Sgt. Slaughter)

Hawk arrives with reinforcements at Genghis Khan’s tomb and as the Joes plant land mines and ready their weapons, Hawk explains on a bullhorn that Cobra has raided the tombs of Julius Caesar, Geronimo and Rasputin and must not be allowed to pass through the Joes’ defense.

Tomax and Xamot pay a visit to Dr. Mindbender, who is happily checking the various vessels containing the DNA of other leaders. Noting that he will use Slaughter’s DNA as the matrix for the Cobra Emperor, the twins remind him that he still needs Genghis Khan’s DNA, and Cobra Commander, who is eavesdropping thanks to the bug, yells that they must not succeed.

Lifeline and Doc, who are examining the DNA extractor, tell Hawk via a video-link that they have concluded Cobra is gathering DNA samples from the world’s greatest warriors and leaders in order to clone an army of unbeatable warriors. Gung Ho hears the term DNA while moving equipment around the camp grounds and Mutt explains to his teammate that DNA is the chief building block of all life.

But as Roadblock notes that the Joes’ chances of winning won’t be great when Cobra begins to create several Frankensteins, Cobra Night Ravens, HISS tanks and Stuns attack. The Joes counter-attack with Maulers, Armadillos, Vamp Mark IIs, HAVOCs, AWE Strikers and Conquest X-30s - and beat Cobra!

The Joes cheer as they watch Cobra retreat, but Hawk reminds them that they have just won round one and their battle is far from over.

Cobra Commander yells at Mindbender for another catastrophe and orders his Crimson Guards to place Dr. Mindbender under house arrest, but no one moves and the mad scientist laughs with Destro. Explaining that the first attack was just a diversion, Dr. Mindbender tells Cobra Commander that their next attack will bring sow calamity among the Joes and bring victory to Cobra. Cobra Commander tells Dr. Mindbender that he has a way with words and will reward the doctor for his accomplishment if he succeeds or have him beheaded for “terminal stupidity.”

As Flint and Lady Jaye share a campfire at night, Dial-Tone alerts the Joes that a large enemy aircraft is approaching the Joes's position. After launching an attack, the plane is damaged and dives toward Genghis Khan's tomb as smoke and fire leaks from its belly. The Joes evacuate the impact area, but Duke soon notes that the ship wasn’t really damaged, that they have been fooled with special effects.

General Hawk orders the Joes to return to the tomb, and Sgt. Slaughter helps blast away a wall and begins to climb up a column to try and stop a large arm that has latched onto Genghis Khan's coffin. Mindbender tells the “clods” at the guns to miss Slaughter in order to draw him towards the coffin.

Slaughter drops onto the coffin and is brought aboard Cobra’s plane, and when he sees Dr. Mindbender, he promises them nothing but grief. Informing the Joe that his DNA will be a fine addition to the new Cobra leader, two doors in the landing bay open and BATs march out to attack Slaughter. But he picks up two of the robots, smashes a third between them and begins to destroy the other androids.

Cobra Commander arrives and orders Scrap Iron to open the cargo bay doors so the stowaway can be killed. Dr. Mindbender screams that they need him, but Cobra Commander calmly replies, “Like a hole in the head.” The BATs lift Slaughter above their heads and Mindbender screams for them to stop.
