"They're kinda cute. Better than an electric train set. Vroom! Vroom!"
- Gung Ho (talking to Stalker about the models of the G.I.Joe vehicles)

Back at Cobra headquarters, Cobra Commander attempts to carry out his threat to fry New York, but Selena tosses water from a jug onto the MASS device. The machine short-circuits and the beam dissipates moments before striking the Empire State Building. Selena is captured and Cobra Commander promises a severe punishment.

While the meteor is in the air, the Joes try to catch it with a net connected to two Skystrikers, but the net breaks and Cobra catches the meteorite using their own net attached to a giant helicarrier.

The Joes leap out of their helicopters with JUMPs, land on the massive Cobra aircraft and successfully fight their way through Cobra agents and various Cobra weapons.

Scarlett catches sight of Destro escaping and pursues him, but she is overpowered and captured. After imprisoning the Cobra agents, the Joes hunt for Scarlett, however, as soon as they find her, Destro uses her as a shield between Duke, Rock 'n' Roll and Gung Ho and himself. And the Joes watch as their teammate is taken away. As Destro and Scarlett fly away, Scarlett fires an arrow from her crossbow that damages the controls to Destro's plane, causing it to dive toward the ground.
