Home Episode Summaries Season 2 Arise, Serpentor, Arise!: Part IV

"Know that I am the one you seek. I am the one born to rule, destined to conquer. Let those who fear me, follow me. Let those oppose me, die! For I am Serpentor - and this I command!"
- Serpentor (seconds after he is born)

The Crimson Guard Commanders and several Vipers attempt to capture Slaughter, but the Joe grabs the gooey remains of the creature and tosses it at the twins, who shout, “He blobbed us!” After bumping into Scrap Iron and Destro, the Joe falls to the ground and realizes that Cobra has won the round.

Low-Light, Dial-Tone, Leatherneck, Lift-Ticket, Mainframe, Wet-Suit, Lifeline, Iceberg and Beach Head make a run for the Terror Drome, where Sgt. Slaughter is tackled by several BATs so that Dr. Mindbender can extracts more DNA from the Joe. After the extraction process knock out Sgt. Slaugther, Dr. Mindbender orders the BATs to secure him in electro-chains.

With security tight around the Terror Drome, Beach Head orders a Lifeline to walk up to the Cobras and ask if he can use their phone. Although he is shocked by the order, Lifeline does walk up to the Vipers. As he is frisked for weapons, the Joes sneak behind the Cobra agents, knock the out and enter the base. And Beach Head explains to the Lifeline that he did not tell the Joe that he was going to be part of an act of violence because Beach Head didn’t want him to refuse. The Joes enter the base and as they catch sight of the awesome arsenal inside the base, they realize that they have not entered their favorite place in the world.

Dr. Mindbender checks the various DNA canisters and then explains that there should not be any more disasters in his experiment. Slaughter struggles with his chains and promises Cobra that they will not use even one of his molecules against the Joes. Destro positions the shroud and Dr. Mindbender throws the power switch. While Sgt. Slaughter continues to struggle, Cobra Commander enters the room and begins to berate Dr. Mindbender, but as Cobra Commander attempts to slip another vial into the DNA of Genghis Khan, Scrap Iron stops him and claims that he is securing Cobra’s future as well as his employment.

Cobra Commander is shocked that he is betrayed and asks what he has done to be the object of scorn by so many. Destro picks up Cobra Commander and tells him that he has failed. After tossing him towards Sgt. Slaughter, Destro tells Cobra Commander to stay out of the way or he will be placed in chains as well.

Cobra Commander strikes a deal with Sgt. Slaughter: freedom for the destruction of the new Cobra leader. The Joe agrees and Cobra Commander shuts down the flow of electricity. Snapping away the cheap Cobra chains, Slaughter attacks Scrap Iron, the Twins, smashes the tank with his DNA and begins to knock Destro’s head into a machine while Dr. Mindbender, who is unsure what the absence of the Joe’s DNA will do, mumbles about how hard it is to get good help. Scrap Iron tries to cave in Slaughter’s head with a pipe, but the Joe calmly turns around, head-butts Scrap Iron, who falls to the floor, and punches his hat back into shape.

Dr. Mindbender screams for his perfect being to arise, however, nothing happens. Sgt. Slaughter, who is, at first, standing with his arms crossed and next to Dr. Mindbender, picks the doctor up with one hand and cocks an arm for another a punch. Cobra Commander happily screams for Sgt. Slaughter to knock out the scientist, but the Earth begins to tremble.

Outside, the Joes think an earthquake is shaking the island. But inside the lab, the figure under the shroud speaks with a voice full of malice: “Know that I am the one you seek. I am the one born to rule, destined to conquer. Let those who fear me, follow me. Let those oppose me, die! For I am Serpentor - and this I command!”
