Home Episode Summaries Season 2 Arise, Serpentor, Arise!: Part IV

"Are you playing cards or giving a blooming weather report?"
- Buzzer (to Ripper after a Tomahawk flies over them)

Cobra Commander slips out of the lab and slides a bolt to lock the others inside, but the monster bursts through the wooden doors and escapes. Destro angrily points out the Cobra Commander has a weapon and did nothing to stop the creature, but Cobra Commander is apathetic about Mindbender’s desire to capture the creature.

While Crimson Guards yell as they are tossed down stairs and to the ground by the creature, Cobra Commander orders several Vipers in pursuit of the creature to follow him so that they can recapture Slaughter. As Dr. Mindbender runs with Tomax, Xamot and Destro, he explains that he suspects someone contaminated the DNA.

Sgt Slaughter breaks out of the Terror Drome, but as three Crimson Guards aim their guns at the Joe, the mindless creature breaks through a wall, knocks the Cobra agents to the ground and escapes. Beach Head, who is sitting next to Lift-Ticket in a Tomahawk, wonders why the island is in a frenzy since they are too low to be detected by Cobra's radar system.

While playing cards with the other Dreadnoks, Ripper tells the others that he is surprised by the presence of a heavy breeze, and Buzzer responds, “Are you playing cards or giving a blooming weather report?” Thrasher spots the Joes’ Tomahawk, kicks over the poker barrel-turned-table and orders the others to pursue.

The Dreadnoks attack the Joes with their Swampfires and the Thunder Machine, and Beach Head tells Lift-Ticket to hold the chopper still so they can shoot the Dreadnoks, but Life Ticket responds that if he holds still, they will be shot down. Diving into treetops and pulling back up, Lift-Ticket causes some of the Dreadnoks to crash into the trees. Monkeywrench drops a pack of dynamite on the Joes’ helicopter and destroys the chopper's blades.

Scrap Iron sells information about Cobra Commander's mutating virus to Dr. Mindbender for a million gold serpentines, who promises to find a fate that matches Cobra Commander’s treachery.

As a squad of Vipers search for Sgt. Slaughter, the Tomahawk flies above them and they rush to attack the Joes, but Sgt. Slaughter picks the Cobras off in the jungle as they chase down the Joes. As he catches up with the last few members of the group, he stumbles up a recently destroyed Stun and the unconscious Cobra agents and wonders what happened. The mindless monster then rushes towards Sgt. Slaughter.

The creature tosses Slaughter in the air and the Joe bumps his head on a tree stump, but he recovers and kicks the creature in the face. After being beaten around some more, Slaughter eventually flips the creature over his back and snaps its neck. He holds the remains in his hand, but as they melt, he tells himself, “I’ve faced some pretty spineless opponents, but this ridiculous.”
