"Yeah, when they buried him, they forgot to turn off the radio."
- Beach Head (to Mainframe after they hear a noise in the castle of Vlad Tempes)

Ordering the Dreadnoks to boil the water with their lasers, Zartan runs into Montazuma's tomb with Monkeywrench while the Joes dive to the bottom of the pool and swim into a vent located at the floor. Zartan and Monkeywrench pull back a large wooden door and hundreds of spiders walk out of the room. Monkeywrench panics and tells Zartan that dealing large spiders was never part of their plan. Zartan grabs the Dreadnok by his vest, calls him a wimp and threatens that if he hears another outburst from him, he will bury him with Montazuma.

The Joes swim up to the surface of another pool inside the tomb and hear Zartan and Monkeywrench's voices. Flint tells the Joes that their mission might work out after all and leaves the pool to pursue the Cobras. While Monkeywrench asks Zartan if he has a bug bomb, Zartan places the DNA extractor on the bones of Montazuma and activates the machine.

Flint and the other Joes confront Zartan and try to subdue them, but the mercenaries escape thanks to Monkeywrench’s desperate measures to avoid spiders. Flint orders the Joes to chase the mercenaries, but the Cobra agents escape on their Cobra Swampfires.

At the castle of Vlad Tempes, Mainframe asks Beach Head to remind him to get a new travel agent when the mission is over since he is uneasy about being in Transylvania during vampire season. Beach Head tells his teammate that Tempes wasn’t a vampire, merely a crazed tyrant who killed people for a hobby. “Sounds like Cobra,” says Mainframe, who then radios Alpine and Bazooka, who report that they haven’t seen any sign of Cobra’s forces. Mainframe and Beach Head hear something howling in the tomb. Mainframe tells Beach Head that there is probably a logical explanation for the “spooky jazz.” As they walk down a flight of stairs, Beach Head quips, “Yeah, when they buried him, they forgot to turn off the radio.”

They enter the crypt's room and watch a ghost float by them. Mainframe wonders what they should do and Beach Head decides to follow the ghost since Tempes isn’t going to anywhere. Elsewhere, Iceberg shares a cup of hot cocoa with Duke and ask why Waco, Texas can’t experience icy weather like Siberia. “Face it, Iceberg, you were born in the wrong hometown,” Duke replies before a curious General Hawk asks, “What’s the word in Siberia?” Shaking his cup upside down, Duke tells him, “The word is 'frostbite,' General. My hot cocoa has turned into a frozen popsicle.”

Snow Job tells the members of the Oktober Guard that their ability to brave the cold weather puts him to shame. Col. Brekhov notes that it is a beautiful Spring day and invites the Joe to go swimming in the icy water later. But the Cobra BATs arrive and attack the Joes. The Oktober Guard team is shocked by the presence of the robots since they are shot repeatedly and continue to move. Duke is tackled by several BATs, but he is rescued by Iceberg and Horrorshow.

Beach Head and Mainframe catch up with the ghost and Beach Head rips of the mask and garment. The Baroness calls him an “ill-mannered American oaf,” kicks him and causes his arm to be ensanred in a torture device. Unable to break the lock, he orders Mainframe to get him out, and after shooting the lock, both of the Joes chase the Baroness.

The Joes enter the crypt and tell her that she can’t shoot both of them, however, she calmly replies that she won’t have to fire a shot. A Cobra boring machine crashes through the wall and the Joes hide behind the debris while Cobra Vipers fire at them. Another Viper activates the DNA extractor, and after the Baroness orders the Cobra agents to retreat, they drive through the other side of the wall.
