Home Episode Summaries Season 1 The Pyramid of Darkness: The Further Adventures of G.I.Joe - Notes
Credits: written by Ron Friedman
Production Number: 600-37
Original Airdate: September 16, 1985
When Cobra forces, led by the Crimson Twins, seize control of G.I.Joe’s secret moon base and an ultra secret Moon Star warship, they begin a plan for world domination which seems invincible. Linking the Moon Star to earth by means of a series of secretly planted Relay Cubes, Cobra creates a Cone of Power beneath which no earth vehicle or machine can function. All is darkness and hopelessness until G.I.Joe learns the secret of the mysterious Cubes and launches a four-pronged attack on all Cobra strongholds, disconnecting the Cubes from their link to the Moon Star, and, ultimately, pursuing Cobra and the Crimson Twins to their lair in Enterprise City bringing them to justice. [Notes: There was neither a Moon Star warship nor a secret moon base in the miniseries; the Cone of Power was renamed as the Pyramid of Darkness]

Dialogue:
Shipwreck: First they ask me to fly, then they ask me to dive.
The minute they ask me to dance, I’m getting out of this outfit.
Polly: Put the pedal to the medal.
Lady Jaye: Flint, it looks like Destro is playing skyscraper-hide-and-seek.
Flint: We can’t let him shake us. That nickel-noggin bozo is
all the Cobra brass we’ve got.
Destro: (laughs) This is one bozo who won’t be got at all.
Time: 45 seconds

Dialogue:
Cobra Commander: Superb! Your water robots have cleared the
area of interlopers, Tomax.
Tomax: Now all we need to do -
Xamot: - is wait -
Tomax and Xamot: - for Destro to join us.
Cobra Commander: Did you hear that, Destro? We’re expecting
you.
Destro: I’ve only been waiting for your invitation, my dear
Cobra Commander. I shall now end this little game of fox and hounds by
outfoxing my pursuers.
