"It looks like the Hotel Dracula!"
- Clutch (after seeing Cobra's base on a monitor)
Duke enters a sensory deprivation chamber and Doc attempts to guide
Duke through his memories. Duke recalls helping defend a kid from some
bullies in his youth, entering college, where he played football and excelled
in gymnastics before the memory of Cobra's base surfaces.
"It looks like the Hotel Dracula," a surprised Clutch adds. At Doc's
request, the memories of Cobra's fortress at half-speed, and Duke he recalls
saying good-bye to Selena and giving her his ring. Doc realizes that the
ring has special electronic characteristics and Breaker believes that it
can act as a homing beacon for their invasion of the Cobra fortress.
Using their own MASS device, the Joes transfer their forces to Cobra's fortress, and the battle for freedom begins.
Duke and Stalker rescue Scarlett and Selena and General Flagg is rescued
before he is executed by Destro, who aims the MASS device at the center
of the earth in order to destroy the world - much to the dismay of Cobra
Commander. However, the MASS device is destroyed with a few dozen shots
to the control panel.
As the clean-up process continues, Cobra Commander tries to sneak past
everyone with a basket over his head and a ragged sheet over his shoulders,
but Timber pulls the sheet away and Cobra Commander is hauled off to prison
while promising the Joes that they have not seen the last of Cobra. Meanwhile,
Destro flies away from the base in a FANG helicopter and also swears to
return and destroy G.I.Joe.
At Joe headquarters, Breaker tells Duke, who has Scarlett hanging on
his right arm and Selena on his left, that the last of the elements have
been scraped together and there is just enough to send the Eiffel Tower
back to where it belongs. But Breaker sends it to London. "Oops. I guess
I goofed," he says. Duke makes a suggestion and soon the tower is on a
large raft attached to a few boats.
"Well, nobody's perfect," Breaker quips. "No," Duke replies, "but we
do okay. YO JOE!"
