"Pink is your color."
- Flint (teasing a mud-covered Lady Jaye)

At the Devil's the Playground, Destro guides the planting of the cube into the ground. Part of the liquid from a nearby pool splashes Destro's mask, however, a sander removes the glob from his mask. The Joes attack and Lady Jaye and Flint's Skystrikers are shot down. Parachuting to the ground, the two Joes dive for cover and Lady Jaye is splashed with the same liquid that splattered on Destro's face. Flint turns to Lady Jaye and jokingly tells her, "Pink is your color." Half-laughing and half-coughing, she replies, "Don't laugh, you bum."

In the construction plant, Shipwreck and Snake Eyes listen to Cobra Commander's edicts to his workers and break into the chief engineer's office. Grabbing the laser disc that programs the assembly line, the Joes are confronted by two Cobra troops, but Timber and Polly attack the troops and Snake Eyes and Shipwreck quickly knock the Cobra agents unconscious. Commandeering laser rifles and a rail cart, the Joes escape.

Dusty explains to Mutt that even though he was only a refrigerator repair man, he knows enough about electronics that he can attach a cable jumper to the communications cables so their teammates can hear Cobra's messages on Joe Frequency. All he needs to complete the job is a distraction. Mutt rips an electrical wire from the wall and Dusty shocks one of the Fatal Fluffies, who turns around and sees only the two Joes working. Scratching his head he turns to see another Fluffy cracking a whip and erroneously concludes that his fellow Fluffy hit him and pushes the whip-cracking Fluffy to the ground. As a brawl breaks out among all the Fatal Fluffies and the Dreadnoks, Dusty cuts the communication cable, but they are discovered by one of the Fluffies, who tries to strike the Joes with his whip but is electrocuted by Dusty.

Dusty and Mutt are recaptured by the Fatal Fluffies after the cable jumper is attached, but Dusty's plan works. Aboard the aircraft carrier, the Joes receive Cobra's transmissions and learn that Tomax and Xamot are taking the second cube to the City of the Dead and the third to the Mountain of Glass. And at Roadblock's urging to retaliate, Admiral Ledger announces that retaliation is just what he has in mind as well.

Inside the cockpit of C-130 plane, Airtight rechecks his calculations on fuel consumption while Footloose simply "mellows out." Roadblock bursts into the cockpit and tells the new Joes that they had better shape up while he is in charge of the mission or (as he clenches his fist in front of them) "this goes pow!" Quickly recognizing his superior firepower, Airtight and Footloose attend to the pre-flight preparations while Bazooka and Alpine head toward the Mountain of Glass in a WHALE.

Shipwreck and Snake Eyes continue to pump the rail cart's levers for momentum until Shipwreck orders Timber to replace him while he tries to start the engine. The cord to the engine breaks and Shipwreck tumbles over the rails of the cart, but Timber grabs him and the thankful sailor admits he owes Timber. Cobra chases the Joes on the Track Reptiles and the leader of the pursuit party offers a reward of ten thousand gold shillings to the soldier who captures the Joes. Polly, Snake Eyes and Timber defend their small rail cart while Shipwreck kicks the engine to try and bring it back to life so they can move away from the Track Reptiles more quickly.

Snake Eyes leaps from the cart to change the switch at a track junction and Cobra agents and knocked off their Track Reptile as they crash into the switch. As the Joes approach another group of Cobras, Shipwreck and Snake Eyes shoot down a supporting beam that falls to the ground and allows them to cruise over the Cobras and climb up to the world above. Unfortunately, they find themselves in a dangerous part of town.

The Joes continue their assault on Destro's forces while Flint and Lady Jaye attempt a sneak attack from behind and on higher ground. Lady Jaye throws a javelin at Destro but he rolls for cover and fires a shot at the Joes. The cliff crumbles after it is shot and Flint and Lady Jaye fall into a boiling pool of red mud that pulls them under.
