As Cobra Commander makes another ultimatium to the world, Destro pounds his fist into the wall in frustration since Cobra is running low on fuel for the MASS device. Major Bludd sends in a drone to retrieve the crystals. With the protective barrier removed, Snake Eyes leaves with a canister of crystals and encounters Major Bludd and his troops. "Poor devil," mutters Major Bludd, who lets Snake Eyes pass and tells his troops that the Joe will die in the cold of nightfall.

On an aircraft carrier, Duke tries to remember the location of the Cobra base with the help of Doc's memory enhancing cap, but Duke fails to recall anything useful. The carrier soon arrives at the deepest trench in the ocean floor, where the second of the three catalytic elements exists, heavy water. Since the Joes know "diddly squat" about deep sea diving according to Stalker, the leader for the deep sea diving operation is Torpedo.

Snake Eyes struggles to walk through a snow storm and encounters a wolf who is caught in trap and barks viciously. At first, Snake Eyes begins to walk away, but returns to the wolf and frees him. The wolf then follows Snake Eyes as he continues his treacherous journey back to Joe headquarters.

As Torpedo explains that the pressure at the ocean's depth can crush someone like a grape, Clutch squeezes his own grape snack too hard and sprays Breaker. The Joes then dive into the ocean and attempt to gather the next element.

But Snake Eyes is attacked by a polar bear and both he and the wolf are knocked unconscious. Before the killing blow is made by the bear, it is repelled by a blind man who uses large stun rifle used to shock the bear. A dog sled is called for by a whistle from the blind man and Snake Eyes, the wolf and their savior ride away. The canister with the radioactive crystals, however, is left behind.

Major Bludd returns to Cobra headquarters with the crystals and Destro proclaims that Cobra is two elements away from conquering the world.

The Joe deep sea detail encounters Cobra forces and awakens the natives of the land, the tube worms, which live around the pool of heavy water and remind Scarlett of a nightmare. As the Joes and Cobras meet and enter a battle, the tube worms are awakened and attack both of sides.
