While General Hawk is in Europe at a top secret NATO conference, Cobra

If look closely at the center of the screen, you will see the first of
two appearances made by Crankcase, who never said a word in the series
and was packaged with the AWE Striker, which first appeared in "Red
Rocket's Glare."
The title of the episode is from a line of dialogue spoken by Leatherneck
to Wet-Suit: “We got a saying in the Marines - the most dangerous thing
in the world is a green officer in the dark with a book of matches.”
If you were ever curious about what happened to the Skystrikers in the second season, it would appear that the blueprints or the planes were given to NATO.
Typically, the scene before and after a commercial break
either share the same dialogue or fit together due to the flow
of action. However, Serpentor's dialogue at the end of the second act and
the beginning of the third were quite different in tone. |
|
Dr. Mindbender: Our raid was a complete success!
Serpentor: No, not complete. There's still one thing I must
do to make this night perfect. Attack Joe headquarters and eradicate them
utterly from the face of the earth. This - I command!
[Commercial break]
Serpentor: Brilliant inspiration is my divine right - and I
am inspired to track G.I.Joe down and wipe them out! |
|
While fixing Cross Country's HAVOC, Dial-Tone's moustache disappears and reappears three times. |
|
Although Shipwreck was standing behind a window in an observation command
post, which would place the sky behind him, the background behind Lifeline
should have included some part of the command post structure, not the sky,
which may have been recycled to save time and money.
|
At the bottom of the image is a Joe who looks like Shipwreck or Cross Country, so the character was included by accident or inked with the wrong colors. |
|
As seen in the left image, Serpentor's neck was inked with the wrong
color.
|
Shipwreck's lips don't move while saying "Both of us! Colonel!" (Matthew Pak's 3 3/4" G.I.Joe Collector Guide - Volume Two: The Television Episodes). |
|
|
Like several episodes in the second season, Roadblock's head and arms were inked incorrectly. |
