· One of Larry's old army buddies, Bart Wulf, who hails from Brady, Texas, was the model for Wild Bill.
· In his book Come In Alone, Warren Ellis wrote: "Larry Hama, perhaps unsurprisingly, knows a lot of people with guns, and so has marvellous stories to tell about stone lunatics with too much artillery who also happen to be comic aritsts" (pages 8 and 9).
