Similar to the first animation sequence in 1982, there is an absence of a strong enemy presence. However, the burnt orange and red clouds are a nice change from the grey and white variety.
Because the last shot of the animation sequence and the first shot in live-action scenes features parachuting Joes, the commercial effectively demonstrates that you don't need the sketch pad animation sequences in order to create a smooth transition from a cel to toy reality.
