Next time, I’ll clone him with a sense of humor.

Home Toy Commercial Animation Destro's DEMON & AGP (1988)

Recycling animation from the comic book commercial for issue #80, the sequence, which is filled with saturated colors, begins with Destro's army climbing into Anti-Gravity Pods (AGP).
Similar to the Cobra Trubble Bubbles flying out of the center of a Terrordrome during G.I.Joe: The Movie, the AGPs launch from a base located in the inside of a mountain and then turn to fly above the DEMONs as the camera floats from a bird's eye view to a profile view of the ships.
Due to the saturation of the colors, the contrast between the lasers and explosions versus the rest of the scenery is diffused. As a result, a dangerous and exciting energy is not created for the toys and the animation sequence's ability to influence the audience's decision to buy the toys is lost. The flow of movement and design, however, is very sharp, thin, fast and powerful.
