B.A. LeCarre's name may have originated from two sources: B.A. Baraccus,
who is better known as Mr. T, from The A-Team (a television show
parodied in "The
Wrong Stuff") and John LeCarre, who wrote the novel The Spy Who
Came in from the Cold, a title that is an appropriate description for
the former Cobra cook since he was trapped in the depths of a cold sea.
When Roadblock first meets B.A. LeCarre, he asks, "Who in the Robinson
Crusoe are you?" The name referenced by Roadblock is a character from Daniel
Defoe's novel Robinson Crusoe, a story about an English sailor who
was marooned on a desert island for nearly thirty years.
To silence the fighting between Zarana and Zandar as well as Leatherneck
and Wet-Suit, B.A. LeCarre fires a gun and then states: "Now, what we have
here is a failure to communicate." The quote was from the film Cool Hand Luke.
The hair on Roadblock’s chin suddenly appears while he is traveling
with General Hawk to an oil rig.

The inkers painted over Leatherneck's moustache. |

|
Roadblock was inked with the wrong color. |
|
The necks of the BATs appear to be those of Caucasian men, which creates
an eerie parallel to the film The Black Hole for two reasons: one,
the sole survivor of each ship is half-crazed; two, the maimed crew members
were turned into half-robot slaves.
|
For the second time, Roadblock was inked with a Caucasian-like color. |
