Home Toy Commercial Animation G.I.Joe WHALE & Cobra Rattler (1984)

Scenes from G.I.Joe: A Real American Hero were included at the beginning of the animation sequence and help create an interesting contrast when compared to the Rattlers seen in future shots.
The image on the left is one of my favorite scene because of the fiery colors in the sky, the dark grim tones on the plant equipment and the high level of detail on the Rattlers.
Another very nice scene is the WHALE flying above the water and under wisps of smoke. By coloring the water a pale blue to contrast with the dark colors of the surroundings, the viewer can immediately understand the environment that is being created.
The level of detail for the Rattler and the WHALE never reached such an astonishing level of quality in the series. As in all of the new scene with these two weapons, the dark and lush colors of the two weapons are superb.
The laser blasts from the WHALE's cannons are redesigned as flat, white rectangles, which are similar to the lasers in the movie Tron.
